The 84th Academy Awards brought out the best in films, and the classic, vintage glamour of fashion. Our winners for the “Best Jeweled” include:

31st Academy Awards

The 84th Academy Awards had style reminiscent of vintage Hollywood glamour such as pictured here.

Nominee Jessica Chastain in a black Alexander McQueen gown with intricate gold appliqué—wore yellow-diamond drop earrings, bracelets and large ring.

Gwyneth Paltrow graced the red carpet in an elegant, streamlined white Tom Ford gown and floor length cape. Bold diamond cuff and large ring accented the gown perfectly.

Nominee Michelle Williams in coral Louis Vuitton dress and pink Bottega Veneta clutch. Peplum waist and strapless, the dress was tastefully accented with a brilliant-cut-diamond choker necklace and vintage jeweled bow brooch.

Last year’s Best Actress Natalie Portman dressed in a red Christian Dior Couture with polka-dot details and bared shoulders. The open neckline showcased a dramatic diamond v-shaped cluster necklace. Natalie wore oval diamond-drop earrings set in platinum and carried a black Charlotte Olympia clutch. Natalie’s new semi-circle-shaped band surrounded her diamond engagement ring and sparked rumors that she may have secretly married her fiancé Benjamin Millepied. US Weekly spoke with the jeweler Jaime Wolf who said, “I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman. They were made with recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds.”

Cameron Diaz presented in a strapless cream-colored Gucci mermaid gown. She wore a radiant emerald-cut diamond and platinum choker necklace, platinum and bezel-set diamond stud earrings, and round diamond dome ring.

Milla Jovovich looked classic and svelte in a white, sequin Elie Saab Couture gown with Edie Parker box clutch. This one-shouldered gown was accented with diamond-drop earrings, diamond bracelet and large ring.

Angelina Jolie in velvet black Atelier Versace with high-cut slit. This dramatic gown was accented with Jaime Mascaro bag and custom Salvatore Ferragamo velvet pumps. Angelina wore cushion-cut diamond drop earrings and a cushion-cut diamond ring.  A pair of diamond and platinum pins adorned her waistline in back.

Emma Stone wore a red silk, bowed Giambattista Valli dress and jeweled minaudiere. She completed the look with ruby earrings.

Nominee Viola Davis, in a strapless green Vera Wang gown with pleated detail, carried a silver Judith Leiber deco-inspired clutch. Her jewels included unusual emerald drop-earrings and a large diamond cuff.

Jennifer Lopez shimmered in a sleek, long-sleeved Zuhair Murad gown, Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes. Diamond drop and platinum earrings and large diamond rings completed the look.

Best Actress Meryl Streep arrived in a deep gold Lanvin gown, lizard Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe shoes and Lavin bag. The gown itself looked like fluid molten gold, and she completed the look with large gold earrings and gold decorative belt.

Sandra Bullock wore a romantic white and black Marchesa gown with gold detailing. She accented the gown with tiered earrings and diamond floral ring, Casadei pumps and a croc-embossed copper-brown clutch with a crystal-cut clasp.

Penelope Cruz, in slate-blue gown with simple leather clutch, epitomized the old glamour of Hollywood. Adorned in pear-shape diamond and platinum necklace, she wore diamond cluster earrings and fancy-shape diamond line bracelet.
